Now that the holiday season is at hand, foods are here and everywhere. Ham and cheese, pasta and a lot of fatty desserts and pastries – those are only few of the foods that you can find on your table on the Christmas Eve. You will now ask if there are still restrictions from your doctor in scrub uniforms as regards eating this season of giving and sharing. Actually, there is indeed a limit.

The doctors do not tell you that you should not eat. They just warn you to eat a little of everything. In your plate, you may put a bit of pastries, a little amount of pasta, and a lot of fruits. Fruit salad may also be a good choice but you must not eat too much of that because the mayonnaise and cream that it contains are enough to add great amount of calories to your body. But when it comes to drinks, you have to choose iced tea instead of cola and fruit juices instead of soda. Through that, you can still maintain your diet consciousness without being boring or kill joy.

Another advice that your friends in scrub uniforms would say is to make a precious shopping. Shopping healthy foods days before the Christmas Eve is a good thing to do because you will be forced to consume those on the actual day of the celebration. It is better than buying fatty foods in the grocery. What you are going to do is utilize those inside the fridge. Another one is that, your friends may send you foods which are actually fatty and so sweet. All you have to do is accept it but just eat a little of it. And if he insists that you add more to your plate, just say no. It is understandable if you will say so in a non-offending way.

Your medical professionals in scrub uniforms also advice you that you must take extra time to exercise. It may be at least 30 minutes in a day. You do not have to spend it inside the gym. All that you have to do is move your body every morning. You can do swimming, biking, hiking or just walking. If you have a motorcycle, you just put it aside for a while and try walking for about an hour. No need to jog or run, just walk gently. Everyday of doing so will actually have the effect of decreasing of calorie content inside your body.

Lastly, avoid giving foods for gifts because it is funny enough that you will find yourself eating too much than the one who will receive. And take time to drink a lot of water. Your water jug must always be filled so that you can be reminded from time to time to drink at least 8 glasses everyday. Have a healthy Christmas!
